Transforming nature, with nature
Black Oveja is a design studio that works with wool as its raw material, which, through a mathematical process of interlocking, becomes a design piece.

The math behind the universe
Their inspiration, as you might imagine, comes from nature.
But not only from what is visible or commonly perceived.
Their knowledge goes further, deeper.
It is based on the structures and the ways in which nature manages to be self-sufficient through fractal patterns.
“I look at a leaf, a coral, a mountain, a cloud, and they all share invisible geometries, like a single pattern repeating at different scales.”
Design as a tool of resistance
It's not only about transforming nature, but about transforming our perception of beauty.
They seek to integrate a new aesthetic, where traces of nature are beautiful, and most importantly, acceptable.
This shift could lower the value of mass-produced, serialized objects and, in turn, reduce contamination.
