Description:

Torre Cáliz is a site-specific installation that was exhibited in the courtyard of the Museo Fernandez Blanco, also known as Palacio Noel.
This museum, in neocolonial Hispano-American style, houses a collection of art from the Viceroyalty of the Río de la Plata, spanning the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries.
Among its holdings is a significant number of chalices and aspergillus used in religious ceremonies throughout the Conquest, colonization, and evangelization of the continent.
The collection also includes several Guaraní vessels.
The installation consists of 6 towers woven in wicker from the Delta del Paraná, whose forms are inspired by this collection of sacred water containers.
The towers are connected by tubes also woven in wicker, joined with elbows made of oxidized zinc.

Standard Dimensions:

The original installation measures 7m in diameter and 3m in height.
The columns have a maximum diameter of 80 cm and range from 240 to 300 cm in height.
The pieces are made in modules of approximately 1 m and may vary in shape and size
Maximum height without ceiling anchoring: 3m
Minimum diameter: 40 cm
Maximum diameter: 80 cm
Not suitable for prolonged outdoor exposure

Available colors:

Black, natural, or pink.
The colors are natural from the plant (not dyed or painted). Metal details can be made in bronze, copper, alpaca, or oxidized zinc

Mounting:

Freestanding.
Up to 3m in height, no anchoring is required. Above 3m, ceiling anchoring is necessary
